About
Hi! I'm Muhammad Uzair Mangi, a Computer Science graduate from The Shaikh Ayaz University, Shikarpur. I am an AI researcher and software engineer passionate about developing intelligent systems that address real-world challenges. My work focuses on applying artificial intelligence to education, sustainability, and knowledge accessibility, with the goal of creating human-centered technologies that generate meaningful social impact.
I am also the Co-founder of the Digital Youth Leadership Program (DYLP), a youth-led initiative dedicated to empowering students through technology and leadership. Through DYLP, I help design fellowship programs and organize hackathons, workshops, and international conferences that equip students with skills in emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, research, and leadership.
Research Interests
My primary research interests lie in Artificial Intelligence for Social Good, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Generative AI. I am particularly interested in large language models, intelligent knowledge systems, domain-specific AI assistants, and AI-driven solutions that improve information accessibility and support decision-making processes. I also explore areas including Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Pattern Recognition, and Human-Centered AI applications.
Technical Skills & Passion
My technical expertise includes Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, Flutter, React, Next.js, Firebase, SQL, Docker, Git, and Large Language Model application development. I enjoy building AI-powered platforms, intelligent assistants, and full-stack systems that integrate modern AI capabilities into practical applications. Beyond technology, I am passionate about empowering young people through innovation and believe that artificial intelligence should be developed responsibly to create positive and sustainable societal impact.

Working on the development of the university's official website from scratch and building a mobile application to keep students informed through announcements, academic updates, learning resources, and campus news. Contributing to digital transformation initiatives within the university ecosystem.
Managing the university's digital presence through social media management, photography, videography, video editing, and graphic design. Producing engaging content to strengthen communication and increase community engagement across university platforms.
Fellowships
Developed a Community Carbon Tracker website and secured 1st place in the final presentation.
Presented at the International Conference on Emerging Leaders for SDG 2030.
Internships
Completed a Flutter-focused software development internship.
Built an ML prototype: Smart Information Detection System for automatic media and security-related information categorization.
Leadership & Events
Contributed to planning and execution of the university's flagship tech event.
Projects
Major projects combining Software Development, Machine Learning, and AI — showcasing both engineering and societal contributions.
An AI-powered professor outreach platform that helps students find and email research supervisors abroad. Integrates Google Gemini API to personalize outreach emails based on professors' research interests. Built with Next.js 14, MongoDB, and deployed on Vercel.
Tech: Next.js 14, MongoDB, Gemini API, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS
An ambitious World History Knowledge Platform with a RAG pipeline using local embeddings (sentence-transformers), MongoDB vector search, and 25+ ingested history books. Designed to avoid external API dependencies and support academic research.
Tech: Python, sentence-transformers, MongoDB Vector Search, RAG, NLP
A full-stack Flutter & Firebase app for artists and event organizers to book, manage, and make in-app payments. Features three dashboards (artist, event-organizer, admin), a ML-based recommendation system for top-rated singers, artist face recognition, and Stripe payment gateway integration.
Tech: Flutter, Firebase, Machine Learning, Stripe
A full-stack AI-based Carbon Emission Analyzer for companies and industries, plus a personal footprint analyzer contributing to SDG 13 (Climate Action). Integrates two ML models. Presented at the TI-P Fellowship closing ceremony and the NYLP International Conference on Emerging Leaders for SDG 2030. Team awarded 1st position — prize of ₨20,000.
Tech: Python, Machine Learning, Web Development
A prototype developed during the ISPR internship to automatically detect and categorize media and security-related information using NLP and computer vision.
Tech: Python, Flutter, SQL, NLP, OpenCV, TensorFlow
An AI-powered system that detects fake skills, buzzwords, and scores confidence in resumes. Detects fake skills and generates a supplementary skills profile for the candidate.
Tech: Python, Streamlit, NLP
Created and published the first Pakistani Singers/Celebrities face recognition dataset on Kaggle. Includes 10 personalities with 30–35 images per artist.
Tech: Computer Vision, Dataset Engineering
Including internship work, local projects, and competition entries. Currently working with the developer team at The Shaikh Ayaz University (TSAUS) on web infrastructure and CMS systems.
Tech: Flutter, Python, Machine Learning, Next.js, Supabase
